Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m)
Upon arrival, a representative from Amazing Himalaya will receive you at the airport to take you to your hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 02: In Kathmandu:
Today, we will visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunathstupa and Bouddhanath Stupa which is all in UN World Heritage sites. Durbar Squares are conglomerate of ancient courtyards, palaces, and temples that gives glimpses of the life of the royals in ancient Nepal. Pashupatinath temple is one of the most important sites of pilgrimage for all Hindus. Swayambhunath is also known as the Monkey Temple, it is on top of a hill, and has historical significance associated with the foundation of Kathmandu valley. Boudhanath Stupa is one of the largest stupas in the world. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 03: Kathmandu – Bhaktapur- Changunarayan& Nagarkot:
After breakfast, we will visit the most beautiful city in Kathmandu valley called Bhaktapur. Bhaktapur is also listed in UN world heritage site. Here you can see the Durbar Square, the pottery market, the famous peacock window, as well as the five-storey Nyatapola: Nepal’s highest pagoda. Then tour goes to Changu Narayan temple, oldest temple of Kathmandu Valley, it is just 5 km away from Bhaktapur. The Changunarayan temple was built during the reign of Lichabi dynasty back in 323AD. The place is open museum comprising of ancient temples, courtyards, sculptures, and other ancient remnants from Lichabi times. We will hike for about 2 hours to Nagarkot from here. On our way to Nagarkot, we can see the spectacular view of mountains ranges. Overnight in Nagarkot.
Day 04: Nagarkot to Dhulikhel:
We will wake up early in the morning to hike up to the top of the hill to see the sunrise. We will come back to the hotel for breakfast and hike through paddy fields of Brahmin/Chettri villages to Dhulikhel. Overnight in Dhulikhel.
Day 05: In Dhulikhel:
After breakfast, we will hike up-to Nomobodhha through orange farms, paddy fields, and beautiful landscapes. Nomoboddha is conglomerate of monasteries, temples, and places that have historical significance associated to Buddha himself. Overnight in Dhulikhel.
Day 06: Dhulikhel to Bandipur:
After breakfast, we will drive to Bandipur. It is 165 km drive through ridges alongside Trishuli River experiencing the spectacular view of mountains in between. Bandipur is part of ancient Tibetan trade route which once used to be a vibrant route, however, nowadays it is popular tourist destination where the visitors can get the glimpse of ancient towns where the merchants stopped. Overnight in Bandipur.
Day 07: Bandipur-Pokhara:
After breakfast drive through an impressive mountain landscape, through the peaceful villages, to Pokhara 75 km. The city is located directly on Lake Fewa and you have a wonderful close view of the mountain panorama of Annapurna- massif. From here, numerous hiking trails begin in the Annapurna area. Overnight in Pokhara
Day 08: In Pokhara:
After breakfast, one-hour boating on Fewa Lake and 45-minute hike to Peace pagoda temple and enjoy the serene view Annapurna Himalaya range from the top. Again45 minutes walk down to Pokhara and visit, International Mountain Museum, Devi’s Falls etc. Overnight in Pokhara.
Day 09: Pokhara – Lumbini:
After breakfast, we will be driving to Lumbini through ridges, villages, terraced farms, and finally to flat-lands of Terai. Once we come down to Terai, we will notice different communities of different ethnicity, customs, language, and different lifestyle altogether. It is amazing that things that seem insignificant such as climate and geography can have such impact on cultures of people living just a few kilometres apart. We can have an authentic experience of the variety of communities that live in the countryside of Nepal. Overnight in Lumbini.
Day 10: In Lumbini:
Today we have full day sightseeing program in Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha.We will visit Lumbini Garden, where many countries have built monasteries and stupas in their own unique architectural manner. Each monastery has monk form their own respective countries. Amidst this massif of monasteries and stupas is the Mayadevi temple which has the archaeological remnants of the place where Lord Buddha was born. In the evening, we will go visit one of the local villages. Overnight in Lumbini.
Day 11: Lumbini – Chitwan:
After breakfast we drive to Chitwan National park for 3 hours, transfer to the Jungle Lodge in Chitwan. After lunch, Jungle safari activities will start, followed by overnight in Chitwan
Day 12: In Chitwan:
This will be a full day jungle activity that includes Elephant back safari, Elephant bathing, Elephant birding centre visit, cannoning trip, jungle walk, village tour, culture programs and bird watching, followed by an overnight in Chitwan.
Day 13: Return to Kathmandu:
After breakfast drive back through again an impressive mountain landscape & drive along Trisuli River to Kathmandu. After 6-7 hours of a drive, we will finally reach Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 14: In Kathmandu:
After breakfast we will go for the sightseeing tour of the Patan, is also listed in UN world heritage site. It is one of the oldest Buddhist cities in the world, is home to ancient temples and palaces. Patan is also known as Lalitpur, which means beautiful city in an ancient local language. Here you can see the Durbar Square, the Golden temple, Mahabouddha Temlee, also known as Thousand Buddha Temple, as well as the another five-storey Kumbheshwor Temple: Nepal’s second highest pagoda. Afternoon, you have free time for shopping or walk around Thamel. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 15: Final Departure: Transfer to the airport and flight back home
