The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of Nepal’s famous trekking routes. It is on the bucket list of most trekkers and cherished by many around the world. The Annapurna Base Camp Trek offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas, including Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Hiunchuli, Annapurna Massif, Dhaulagiri, Tilicho, Pisang, and Pungda Danda, in addition to numerous other peaks. Furthermore, the Annapurna Base Camp route will pass through charming Magar and Gurung villages, not to mention the spectacular terrain.
Amazing Himalaya offers a 10-day Annapurna Base Camp trek on a budget. During this trek, you will explore the natural beauty of Nepal, the cultural aspects of Kathmandu Valley, and the beautiful lake city of Pokhara, which is surrounded by the Himalayas. The ABC trek is moderately challenging, and you will be accompanied by an experienced guide who will be with you throughout the journey to help you every step of the way. Make sure you take regular breaks and keep yourself hydrated throughout the trek.
The best season for the Annapurna Base Camp trek is September, October, and November in winter and February and March in spring. Additionally, the trail is quite busy from April to June during summer.
Our journey will start with sightseeing to –the UNESCO-listed world heritage sites in Kathmandu. The next day, we will take a short flight to Pokhara and drive to Jhinu Dada, where you can see the mountains getting closer. Eventually, this led to the main destination of our ten-day trek on the Annapurna trail. Our trek route will follow Jhinu Dada – Chomorung (2170 meters) – Doban(2505 meters) – Deurali (3230 meters) – Machhapuchhre (3700 meters) Base Camp – Annapurna Base Camp (4130 meters).

After you arrive at the airport, our representative from Amazing Himalaya will receive you and take you to your hotel. You can unwind, rest in the hotel overnight, and prepare for the journey the next day.
The next day, we will visit Kathmandu and various UNESCO-listed world heritage sites, such as Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath Stupa, and Boudhanath Stupa.
Kathmandu Durbar Square: Located in the heart of Kathmandu, it showcases the rich architecture and cultural heritage. The main attractions are visiting temples, palaces built between the 12th and 18th centuries, Hanuman Dhoka, and the Kumari Ghar (home of the living goddess).
Swayambhunath: Known as Monkey Temple, it lies on one of the top hills of Kathmandu Valley and offers a panoramic view of Kathmandu. Both Buddhists and Hindus revere this Heritage Site. It features a stupa with Buddha’s eyes painted on it, symbolizing the Buddha’s all-seeing nature, and is surrounded by monasteries.
Boudhanath: One of the popular tourist destinations in Kathmandu, the place gives a spiritual vibe with Tibetan chanting and mantras. Spend quality time clicking pictures in the rooftop cafe and enjoy local Tibetan cuisine there. Around Stupa, there are many souvenir and handicraft items in local shops that you can take back home as a permanent memory of your trip and as a token of Nepali heritage.
After breakfast in the early morning, we will take a quick 30-minute flight to Pokhara from the domestic airport. Pokhara, the city of Lakes, is one of Nepal’s most popular tourist destinations. Offering stunning views of Annapurna Massif ranges. Upon reaching Pokhara, we will drive to Jhinu Dada, which will take 3 hours, the starting point of our trek. After lunch in Jhinu Dada, our trek towards Chomorung (2150 meters) will start, taking around 2 hours. As we continue, the mountains seem to draw closer with each step. We will spend the night at a trekkers’ lodge.
Today, we start our trek with a sharp downhill walk until we reach the Chomrong Khola at 1,900 meters. From there, we’ll have a steep climb toward Doban. After passing Ghandruk, we’ll enjoy stunning views of the Modi Khola Valley. We’ll end our day with an overnight stay at a Trekkers Lodge.
On the fifth day of our Annapurna Base Camp trek, we will trek through the forest of Dovan to Deurali, which will take around 4 to 5 hours, depending on the walking speed. This part of the trek involves a gradual climb through the Himalayan wilderness, offering stunning landscapes and the opportunity to immerse yourself in the serene natural environment. After reaching Deurali, which lies at an altitude of 3230 meters, we will rest overnight in a guesthouse, charged up for the next day’s trek.
From Derurali, we will continue our journey towards Machhapuchhre base camp, which lies at an elevation of 3700 meters. It will take us 5 hours to reach it. We will take a trail alongside the river on a stony path, from which we can view Himalchuli and Machhapuchhre all along the way. Enjoy a magnificent view of the steep wall of Machhapuchhre and Annapurna Massif. Overnight in Trekkers Lodge.
Today, we’ll start our journey early towards our final destination, the Annapurna Base Camp trek, setting off before the sun rises in the chilly, windy air. The hike is longer than usual and takes around 7 to 8 hours. The path is quite steep, but we can walk slowly to avoid distress. Along the way, we will come across the stunning views of Nilgiri, Mardi Himal, and finally Annapurna itself. We’ll now spend some time at the Annapurna base camp, soaking into peaceful surroundings.
Afterward, we’ll head back down to Machhapuchhre Base Camp and start our descent, stopping at the Himalaya Hotel at 2920 meters to spend the night in a trekkers’ lodge and reflect on our journey to the remarkable peaks of Annapurna and Machhapuchhre.
Today is the eighth day of our trek. We will return to Jhunu Dada, where we will start our trek towards Annapurna Base Camp. Along the way, we will pass landmarks like Doban and Bamboo Lodges, head towards Chomorung Khola, and climb up to Chomorung. The trek to Jhinu Dada will take around 5 to 6 hours. After reaching Jhini Dada, we will take a local jeep bus ride back to Pokhara. The ride will be around 3 hours. After reaching Pokhara, we will spend the night reflecting on our remarkable journey.
We will drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara. The drive will take 6 to 7 hours. After reaching Kathmandu, we will rest in the hotel.
Our adventurous ten-day trek to Annapurna Base Camp Nepal ends today. You will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport to return to your destination.
