In the morning, you will be driven to the renowned Swayambhunath Monkey Temple, the oldest Buddhist stupa with monasteries in Nepal. From this vantage point, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Himalayas and the Kathmandu Valley. Subsequently, you will explore the old town of Kathmandu, visiting the Durbar Square, a palace complex adorned with numerous temples and monuments, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In the afternoon, the journey continues to Patan, the oldest Buddhist city boasting its significant cultural attractions. You will explore the Durbar Square, featuring various temples, the Krishna Temple, and the Golden Temple. The day concludes with an overnight stay in Kathmandu.
After having breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up and driven to Sundarijal, marking the beginning of your Helambu Circuit trek. The trek commences with a delightful section through oak and rhododendron forests. As you leave Sundarijal, the route leads along a steep slope. After an hour’s walk, you reach Shivapuri National Park. The trail ascends through a series of narrow stairs to Mulkharka.
From Mulkharka, hike through rural farm fields, cool woodlands, and the charming settlement of Borlang Bhanjyang, ultimately reaching Chisapani. Chisapani is renowned as one of the most popular short-hiking destinations near the Kathmandu Valley. It offers breathtaking views of several Snow caped mountains. Overnight in Chisapani.
Chisapani offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Langtang Himal range. After breakfast, start today’s hike to Kutumsang. The route descends as it approaches the small settlement of Pati Bhanjyang, passing through picturesque meadows and farmland. You’ll arrive at the Sherpa settlement of Thankune Bhanjyang, strolling through farming communities with scenic views.
Continuing your trek, you’ll encounter terraced farms and trails leading into a small forest. Passing through the Sherpa settlement of Chipling, you’ll then climb to reach a ridge. From here, it will take another one hour of downhill hiking to reach Kutumsang.
Upon arrival at Kutumsang, a settlement with traditionally constructed dwellings and mist-covered slopes, it’s charming to visit the village. Your walk for the day comes to an end.
After breakfast, you will head towards Thadepati Bhanjyang, ascending over a thousand meters in elevation. The highest point on your trek is Thadepati. In the initial part of the hike, you will reach the ridgeline of Yurin Danda. Throughout this day’s trail, enjoy views of the Langtang range, Gosaikunda peak, and Jugal Himal.
Continue your ascent through some degraded trails to Mera Danda, and then descend to Mangengoth, a tiny settlement. Beyond the Thare Danda ridge, you will eventually reach Tharepati, offering breathtaking panoramic vistas of the Langtang Ranges.
As you continue your hike just above the settlement, you will reach a ridge, a fantastic location for spectacular sunrise views. Then, turn eastward, making your way through an ancient pine forest on a steep descent. Walking along the spine of a ridge, the route finally descends to Melamchi Gaon. a sizable Sherpa settlement, known for its warm hospitality and rich cultural heritage. Overnight in Trekkers Lodge.
Your trek starting today with breakfast, Today’s trail start descend from Melamchi Gaon to Melamchi Khola and reach Tarkeghyang after walking through several Buddhist settlements including Nakote, Dozum, and Chiri. The vllages name comes through the monasteries. Most of the monastery are also the oldest in the Helambu area. They will give you a sense of the western Nepali villages. From here the route will head southwest from Tarkeghyang. You will walk over gently sloping routes through the forest. As you make your way into Setighyang, you will pass through a few little streams, fields, and charming little towns. After 4 to 5-hour journey, you will eventually arrive at Sermathang, your today’s destination.
Start your trek by descending through rice fields and large, green meadows after a leisurely breakfast in Shermathang. As you leave the village of Sermanthang, you’ll pass through charming communities like Kakani and Thimbu. The vegetation changes as you hike through a subtropical area. Heading towards Melamchi Pul Bazaar, a Sherpa settlement, you’ll cross several bridges and pass through small communities adorned with chortens and mani walls. Then finally, arrive in Melamchi Bazar. Here, your vehicle is waiting for you. Hop into the car and drive from Melamchi Bazar to Kathmandu, a journey that takes approximately 4 hours. By late afternoon, you will arrive in Kathmandu. Check into your hotel, and the rest of the time is free for you to relax and explore at your leisure. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
This morning, your itinerary includes a visit to Pashupatinath, the most significant Hindu temple. The temple area attracts countless pilgrims, yogis, and devotees, hosting daily Hindu rituals. On the banks of the Bagmati River, cremation ceremonies for the deceased take place. While non-Hindus are not permitted to enter the temple complex, you can still enjoy a panoramic view from a terrace nearby.
Boudhanath presents a contrasting experience as the largest Buddhist stupa, surrounded by numerous Tibetan monasteries. In the afternoon, your exploration continues with a visit to the enchanting royal city of Bhaktapur. The highlights include Durbar Square, the pottery market, the renowned Peacock Window, and the five-story Nyatapola, the tallest pagoda in Nepal. Conclude the day with an overnight stay in Kathmandu.
